Chicago range is a newly introduced section of the electric guitars segment in Dean Guitars catalog. It was introduced at this year`s NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. It consists of three series: USA Chicago, Chicago and Chicago Standard. USA Chicago represents the top tier, while the Chicago Standard represents the introduction to the series. Chicago series is the middle one and it deals with the intermediate tier of models. All three of the Chicago series were introduced in memory of NAMM 1977 when Dean started out with ML, V and Z models and their Chicago-based production lines in those early years. ML Chicago Flame Lefty is the left handed variant of the ML Chicago Flame model. It features the classic ML body made of mahogany base and flame maple top. Top panel is decorated with creme binding and it`s finished in high gloss. Bridge section is a simple one, as it features a tune-o-matic bridge with string through construction. Pickup son this ML are DiMarzio Super Distortion humbuckers. They`re passive. Neck is made of mahogany and it`s equipped with classic V contour in the back. On it`s top Dean installs a 22-fret ebony fingerboard. Grover tuners, 24-3/4" scale and 1-11/16" string nut complete the specs list.
