USA ML Chicago Flame is one of three models introduced into the USA Chicago series. Next to it are USA Z Chicago Flame and USA V Chicago Flame. This series, in turn, is a part of the Chicago section, along with Chicago and Chicago Standard lines, which were launched at 2013 NAMM in order to revive the classic Dean models introduced back at 1977 NAMM show. Those models started the story we now know as Dean Guitars history. This particular ML is the closest thing to having the original '77 ML guitar. It comes with a solid, single-cut body with combined V tail and Explorer front. Back is made of mahogany and top is flamed maple. Top is bound in creme and finished in high gloss. Bridge section sports the classic tune-o-matic bridge with strings running through the body behind it. DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups are featured in both the bridge and neck positions. Neck on this model is made of mahogany, it`s set in and equipped with V contour in the back. Ebony fingerboard is bound and equipped with 22 frets with abalone dot inlays.
