Thoroughbred Series is Dean`s response to the ever-growing market of the spiced-up Les Pauls. The name signifies the thoroughbred American design, styling and construction, as well as the meaty, juicy tone produced by a pair of growling active humbuckers. For the summer of 2014, the standard six-string Thoroughbred Stealth has got a bigger brother, a seven-stringed Thoroughbred Stealth. This metal monster takes the most out of the traditional American construction and adds the unique vibe to it, characteristic of Dean`s heavy metal-oriented axes. Solid and single-cut body is made of mahogany (both the base and the carved top are made of mahogany). Also, the set-in neck is made of mahogany. Classic two--piece bridge unit on this one is clad in black chrome and is fronted by the seven-string versions of the EMG 81 and 85 pickups. Two volume knobs, two tone knobs and the three-way toggle pickup switch keep the controls unit simple and easy to manipulate. C-contoured neck is fast, sleek and feels fantastic in the hand. On it`s top, Dean installs the series standard 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony. Grover tuners are also included.
