Vendetta is one of the most important series in Dean Guitars catalog. It deals with solid, double-cut guitars with ultra access cutaways, set neck construction and 24-fret fingerboards. At this year`s NAMM Dean unveiled two brand new Vendettas: Vendetta Teatro De La Muerte and Vendetta Floyd w/EMG. This review is dedicated to Vendetta Floyd w/EMG. This model comes with a super sleek double-cut body made of mahogany back and carved mahogany top. Body of this metal axe is bound in several layers of binding and finished in high gloss. Traditionally Dean does not install pickguard on their models. Black is the only color scheme available for this model. Neck joint is the series standard, it`s set in. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the smooth C contour in the back. This neck is made for lightning fast solos full of position shifts and slides. On it`s top Dean installs a 24-fret fingerboard made of maple. It is equipped with V inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut. EMG pickups are featured in the electronics section. 81 is in the bridge and 85 in the neck position. Bridge is a double locking Floyd Rose trem.
