Back in 1956, Les Paul guitars still featured dual single-coil pickups and first PAF humbuckers were a whole year away (they made their debut on 1957 Goldtop). Also, the first Standard was two years away (1958 saw the first LP Standard).
1956 Les Paul Standard PRO starts with a solid and single-cut body made of mahogany base and a carved maple cap on top. Back and sides (as well as the back of the neck) come in classic brown color, while the top has three options: Metallic Goldtop, Chicago Blue and Ebony. Set mahogany neck rocks the 50s C profile and is covered with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
Pickups combo is made up of a pair of Epiphone P-90s with plastic covers and a standard LP controls unit. Two-piece bridge and vintage Epiphone tuners complete the specs.
