Among the younger signature artists in the Epiphone/Gibson family, Joe Bonamassa is, most certainly, the most esteemed one. The young king of blues, as he is sometimes referred to, Joe Bonamassa bases his exceptional tone on both his more than impressive set of skills and top notch guitars and equipment. Joe predominantly plays a variety of Les Paul guitars made by Gibson. Also, in recent years, several Epiphone Les Paul models have been released as Joe Bonamassa signatures. The latest one, 2014 Limited Edition Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Standard is by far the coolest one. Solid and double-cut mahogany body is covered with a carved plain maple top made of two panels of wood. Classic tune-o-matic/stoptail bar bridge unit is paired with a set of high quality Grover tuning machines (a feat not so rare in recent editions of the Epiphone catalog). For the full-fledged Gibson tone and feel, Epiphone installs Gibson`s Burstbucker pickups (Burstbucker 2 in the neck and Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position) with a classic Les Paul controls unit and a mahogany neck with rounded profile and deeply set in joint. Bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets, trapezoid inlays and 12" radius completes this mind-blowing axe.
