Elitist Les Paul 1957 Goldtop is one of the finest Goldtop LPs produced by Epiphone. It comes with a gorgeous single-cut body made of mahogany back and plain maple top. This is the combo with which Les Paul guitars have made their name. Top panel is bound and covered with a plastic pickguard. Only Antique Metal Gold color scheme is available for this model and it comes with high gloss finish. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar in the back. Entire bridge section is plated in chrome. USA 50SR humbucker is in the neck position and USA 60SR in the bridge position. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it`s equipped with '50s contour. It`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

I have one! It's my go-to axe. The gold isn't a perfect Goldtop copy but it comes from Fuji-Gen and the attention to detail is marvelous. I changed mine out to black trim as it looks better to me. That's it. If you check the revues for Gibson Custom 1957 Goldtop you'll see the Elitist is rated higher. I rest my case.
