Collector`s Choice is a line of exclusive, limited run guitars made as replicas of particular historically significant models. They are not necessarily made in numerical order, but rather as on-and-off series based on availability of particular hardware, electronics and tonewoods.
Collector`s Choice #36 1957 Daughtry Goldtop is an almost perfect recreation of the famous 1957 "Goldfinger" guitar, a 1957 Les Paul Goldtop #7 3308 (owned by Charles Daughtry). The nearly indistinguishable replica costs $6,699. Antique Gold (with vintage brown filler, nitrocellulose finish, aged binding, aged nickel hardware & plastics) and natural back, is the only color option.
Main features include a one-piece mahogany body, two-piece maple top (with the famous "Goldfinger" scratch near the lower horn), one-piece mahogany neck (hot hide glue construction), one-piece Indian rosewood fingerboard, custom-wound Custom Bucker pickups and nickel-plated hardware.
