Andy James signature model is one of the latest additions to the signature range in ESP and LTD catalogs. Thus far, only LTD version exists, while the constantly growing army of Andy`s fans is eagerly awaiting the proper top-class ESP signature model. Andy is one of the most popular guitar teachers/performers around. He built a huge following through his works for Lick Library and various other video and online shredding courses. Besides that, Andy is also a very successful solo artist with several full length albums under his belt. AJ-1 is the name of Andy`s first LTD signature model. It is a solid an double-cut guitar with a mahogany body and maple neck. To be precise, mahogany is used for the side wings, while the maple neck runs through the center of the body. There is no decorative top wood cover and Black Satin is the only color option available. Tune-o-matic bridge is alone in the bridge section and the strings run through the body behind it. EMG`s 66 and 57 are installed in the bridge and neck positions, respectively, giving this sleek six-stringer a vicious tone. Master volume and a three-way toggle pickup switch keep the controls unit simple and easy to use. Maple neck is fit with a standard thin U contour in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Offset block inlays and the custom AJ inlay at the 12th fret decorate the fingerboard. Locking LTD tuners wrap the specs up.
