EC-1001FR is one of several LTD Deluxe models introduced at this year`s NAMM and it brings almost ESP E-II (new ESP Standard) level of tone and build. This semi-professional six-stringer represents the current pinnacle of the six-stringed Eclipse range on the LTD side of the catalog. Solid and single-cut Eclipse body of this marvel is made of mahogany base and flamed maple top (top is, of course, made of two matching pieces of flamed maple of very high grade). Elegant and discreet creme binding is applied around the edges. See Thru Black body color with the black chrome hardware and painted headstock is the dominating visual theme among the 2015 ESP and LTD novelties and EC-1001FR follows the suit. This tuxedo-clad six-shooter is a beast in disguise, as no tux can hide the EMG Metalworks guns installed in the pickups compartment (EMG 81 in the bridge and 60 in the neck position). These bad boys come with separate volume knobs, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch, which clearly indicates that this Floyd Rose-equipped Eclipse is made to rock hard. Very hard. Mahogany neck on this model is glued to the body and features ESP`s famously fast and thin U profile in the back. On the top, there is the standard 24-fret fingerboard with XJ frets, flag inlays and 1.65" wide locking nut. LTD tuners were selected over their Gotoh and Grover counterparts for this beastly six-stringer (this is due to the installation of the locking nut on the fingerboard).
