Eclipse-II Electric Guitars by ESP
Eclipse II is one of the most important series in ESP catalog, and for 2012 it is refreshed and offered in a brand new set of colors. This, new and improved Eclipse was shown at the NAMM 2012 in Anaheim, Ca. For starters, Eclipse is known as a solid, single cutaway guitar. It`s body is made of mahogany back and maple top. The top is carved and features two kinds of binding, depending on the color. Finish is also subject to the color choice, as some colors come in gloss and some in satin finish. Volcano red, mystic black, silver sunburst and snow white come in gloss and vintage black comes in satin finish. The bridge section is made of tune-o-matic bridge with a stoptail bar and several plating options. Chrome, gold and black nickel are available and depend on the color options. Pickup combo is one of the most trusted pairs in the industry, EMG81 in the bridge and EMG60 in the neck. Split volume knobs, master tone and a three-way toggle switch comprise the controls. Thin U shaped neck is made of mahogany and connected to the body with a set-in joint. Ebony fingerboard has 22 extra jumbo frets, flag inlays and 1.65" wide bone nut. 24-3/4" scale and Gotoh tuners complete the specs for this model.
