FRX series is one of the boldest looking series out there, probably only matched by some of the wildest B.C. Rich designs. The series is not updated frequently, and in recent years 400 series models were the series` flagship models (as far as the LTD range is concerned). 2018 catalog brings a pair of new FRX models, again in 400 outfits. FRX-407 is the new seven-string option and the most expensive model made under the FRX banner. It will be available in Black Satin, with black hardware, black headstock, and black plastics. Main construction features include a solid mahogany body, a 3-piece neck made of maple, a 24-fret pau ferro fingerboard (25.5" scale, 1.89" nut, 13.77" radius), a Floyd Rose Special bridge, EMG pickups, and Grover tuners.
