H series is one of the most prominent modern metal guitar series around. It centers around the modern double-cut body shape, offering a huge number of versions and variations on the theme. LTD section of this series is the most numerous one, it offers workhorse guitars of great quality and with authentic ESP tone. For 2016, H range is being updated with several models and a brand new incarnation of the legendary H--1001FR is one of them. It comes with set-thru construction, standard 25-1/2" scale, black hardware and active electronics.
H-1001FR starts off with a solid and double-cut body made of a solid mahogany base and carved mahogany top. White-clad body is bound in multi-ply binding and sports a barren top. The neck is made of three pieces of maple and is attached to the body via the set-thru joint (intermediate solution between the set neck and neck-through-body variants). 24-fret ebony fingerboard on its top features 1.65" locking nut, offset dot inlays and 13.77: radius.
EMG`s 81 and 85 in the bridge and neck positions have brushed black chrome covers and a simple controls unit (volume, tone, three-position blade switch). Original Floyd Rose bridge and die-cast LTD tuners complete the specs list.
