When it comes to heavy metal and the search for a proper metal axe, there are very few places one can go to and very few addresses one can visit rightfully hoping to find something superior to ESP. As a testament to this claim, H series stands tall and proud, head and shoulders above the crowd. Simple and no-nonsense design and construction in combination with ubiquitous tone and out of this world playability have granted this marvelous series the legendary status it has among the metalheads around the world. For 2015, the LTD side of the H range is being updated with several models and the vicious H-1001FR is at the helm of the reinforcement troops. Solid mahogany body in conjunction with a set-thru maple neck forms the classic H series base. On the top of the flat and moderately thick body, ESP installs a Floyd Rose bridge and a pair of active EMGs. 81 in the bridge and 85 in the neck are manipulated through a simple controls unit - master volume, master tone and a three-position switch. Maple neck rocks the lightning fast U profile in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top. Abalone binding around the body and headstock is matched with abalone binding around and thumbnail inlays on the fingerboard. White-clad headstock is fit with a set of six (3+3) LTD tuners with black plating.
