MH is a result of a clash of M and H series. The clash resulted in some of the best metal guitars ever made. These badass axes can pull it all of, be it classic hard rock/heavy metal of the `70s, Speed metal, thrash, shred or even black and death metal. Construction-wise, MH models mostly feature neck-thru and set-thru options (even in the LTD range), carved-top bodies and ultra thin necks. MH-401FR is a new model for 2016, it was introduced this January at NAMM show, along with the rest of its LTD and ESP brethren.
MH-401FR has a super solid base, classy looks and an incredible tone. The body is bound in white, has a generous cutaway and is made of a timeless combination of solid mahogany back and a quilted maple top. The neck is made of three pieces of maple. It is U-shaped, runs through the body and features a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (13.77" radius, 1.65" locking nut and thumbnail inlays).
EMG`s 81/85 combo makes it clear that this beast`s roar will be heard through any and every mix out there. Simple controls unit is perfectly balanced not to clutter the play, but still offer a decent level of versatility. Licensed Floyd Rose bridge and Grover tuners have got the tuning and intonation issues firmly under control.
