General overhaul of the ESP signature segment for 2015 brings us a pair of brand new Kirk Hammett signatures of the LTD-200 class, a righty and a lefty. This page and review are dedicated tot he lefty model. It comes with a classic solid and double-cut body with a flat top and deep cutaway contour (especially the lower cutaway). As it is standard in the LTD-200 signature region, KH-202`s body is made entirely of basswood and it`s paired with a bolt-on maple neck. 200 models also tend to follow the upscale models in terms of styling and color options which in this case translates into Gloss Black paint with black hardware and painted headstock (black, of course) as the only color scheme available. While the ESP KH models rock the original Floyd Rose bridges, this budget-friendly axe comes with its budget version, the Floyd Rose Special bridge. In front of the bridge, ESP and Kirk have decided on ESP Designed LH-301 set of passive humbuckers, instead of the class standard LH-150s. The tone these bad boys provide is huge, powerful and downright wicked. Throw in a super slim neck, 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with skull & bones inlays and a reversed headstock and you`ve got yourself a simple, reliable old-school thrasher.
