Classic M series is being reinforced for 2015 with several new models and M-200 Black Desert Camo is the most affordable among them. It is a standard LTD 200 model with an exceptional color scheme thrown in to make the entire pack more enticing. This new M-200, like its predecessors in this range and class, aims at younger metalheads eager to put their hands on their first proper metal axe. It comes with a solid and flat basswood body and bolted maple maple neck (brand-wide standard for the LTD 200 models). Black Camo theme extends from the body to the headstock and is nicely contrasted with black nickel hardware. Speaking of hardware, ESP has decided to treat the potential players to a high quality licensed Floyd Rose bridge on the top. Pickups selection is a standard one, including a pair of high output ESP Designed humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions. Namely, the pickups are ALH-200B and ALH-200N (following the convention, B stands for the bridge and N for the neck position). One volume pot, one tone pot and three-position blade switch make up the controls. Compact, effective and very well placed unit adds to the already high points in the playability segment. U-contoured maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on the top (extra jumbo frets, of course) is a textbook example of what a modern, fast and playable neck is. Locking string nut and die-cast LTD tuners, along with the Floyd Rose bridge, give a very respectable level of tuning and intonation stability to this affordable metal warrior.
