Explorer is one of the most iconic body shapes associated with heavy music. Others include Explorer`s cousin, the Flying V, Dean`s ML and Superstrat design based on the classic double-cut Strat. Explorer was first introduced in the late 1950s and by the end of the 1970s it was adopted by the emerging metal scene as one of the boldest symbols of rebellion. ESP`s FX models celebrate the Explorer heritage and carry the torch into the 21st century. LTD`s FX-260 Spalted Maple is one of the finest LTD Explorer models, it comes with a solid mahogany body spalted maple top and a set in mahogany neck with U contour in the back. Set of ESP pickups and the classic tune-o-matic bridge are installed on the top. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard completes the specs list.
