With set-thru neck construction, classic M series design and mighty EMG 81 pickups, new M-1001FM is the answer to many a metalheads prayers. Costing only a fragment of the ESP E-II or ESP USA axes, and displaying a jaw-dropping level of playability and tone, M-1001FM is a strong candidate for the metal axe of the year. Solid and double-cut body of this six-string monster is made of alder base and flamed maple top. This is a well known combination and a tested recipe for metal mayhem in its purest form. Gorgeous flamed maple top features two matching pieces painted in See Thru Black, ESP`s new favorite color scheme. Floyd rose bridge on the top is clad in black chrome, with pickups covers, control knobs and, locking nut and tuners following the suit. EMG`s 81/81 combo promises a full-on metal attack with truck loads of sustain and a gnarly bite. Master volume, master tone and a three-position switch form the simple and intuitively laid out controls unit. Set-through maple neck is fit with the standard U profile in the back and a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Arrow inlays, 1.65" wide locking nut and creme binding complete the fingerboard. Classic M series headstock is equipped with a set of six Grover tuners.
