MH-2015 40th Anniversary is one of four ESP models (one of three with LTD badge) made in celebration of four decades in business. Like other two limited LTD models, MH-2015 comes in quite sophisticated See Thru Black Satin color scheme. Along with the elegant paint job, these models (including MH-2015) feature black chrome hardware with satin finish. This is best visible on the covers of the marvelous EMGs installed on the high grade quilt maple tops. Pickups selected for the 40th anniversary series are classic 57 and 66. 57 is in the bridge with 66 taking up the neck position. Along with 81/85 and 81/60 combos which defined metal music, 57 and 66 are also in high demand among the metal players, as they give a big, open and hefty tone with bucket loads of sustain. Master volume, master tone and a three-position blade pickup switch comprise the controls. Beneath the pickups, ESP has chosen to utilize a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany with a gorgeous quilt top. 24-fret fingerboard upon the U-contoured neck is made of maple and is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. LTDs locking tuners on the headstock wrap up the specs list.
