Michael Wilton of Queensryche fame was one of the most formidable string wizards back in the `80s. With his uncanny fretboard skills, he helped shape the sound that marked the `80s. A mixture of hard rock, blues and shred can be sensed in Michael`s playing style and it heavily reflects on his guitars. The new for 2016 MW-TriRyche model is a nod to the classic Superstrat guitars of the first shred era, as well as a modern rocker.
MW-Triryche kicks off with a solid and double-cut body with a bolt-on neck. Strat-shaped body is made of alder, while the neck is made of three pieces of maple. It is precisely this type of construction and this selection of tonewoods which propelled shred movement and gave it that recognizable sparkling tone. Fingerboard on top of the neck is made of maple, as well. It is equipped with 22 XJ frets, dot inlays and 1.65" wide molded nut.
Staying true to the `80s roots, Mr. Wilton opted for the formidable pair of passive Seymour Duncan pickups - TB-6 in the bridge and SH-1 in the neck position. Master volume, master tone and a three-position pickup switch comprise the controls. Original Floyd Rose bridge and Grover tuners complete this hot rocker.
