LTD Viper series is receiving only two updates for 2016. This year`s winter NAMM in Anaheim, Ca has seen one regular Viper (401) and one baritone. Viper-200B is the baritone Viper ESP prepared for this season. It rocks the long 27" scale instead of the series standard 24-3/4" scale (inherited from the legendary SG upon which it was based). Other than the long scale, 200B is pretty much your standard 200 Viper - it has a beveled body with no binding or top, bolt-on neck and passive electronics. It is only available in Black with gloss finish and black hardware.
Viper-200B starts with a solid and beveled body made of basswood. Traditionally, it features beveled edges and asymmetrical horns. U-shaped neck is made of three pieces of maple and has a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. Fingerboard is equipped with XJ frets, dot inlays (custom 12th fret inlay), 1.65" molded nut and 13.77" radius.
Pickups found on this low-cost baritone are your standard issue ESP Designed 150 humbuckers. They`re passive, high output pickups made primarily for metal. Volume, tone and a three-way switch are featured in the controls unit. String-through hardtail bridge and LTD tuners complete the specs list.
