Fender takes seriously the heritage '50s and '60s models left behind them and pays them a fantastic tribute with 2012 edition of American Vintage series. This series features Strats, Teles, Jags and Jazzmasters from '50s and '60s made renewed and re-made for the summer of 2012. These models produced now are tribute models, but can be easily be mistaken for the originals. Among the currently produced guitar, there is also a '65 Strat model which has a set of it`s own historically accurate features, plus it`s own set of especially made pickups. Body of this model is made of alder and it sports a classic double cutaway shaped with flat top and bolt-on neck joint construction. Binding is omitted, but the classic white pickguard is still there. Color options assigned to this model include: 3-Color Sunburst, Olympic White and Dakota Red. All are finished in glossy lacquer finish. Bridge section sports a non-locking American Vintage synchronized tremolo. It`s features include chrome plating, independent saddles and string-through-body construction. Pickups installed on this model are New American Vintage '65 Grey Bottom Strat® single-coils with master volume, two tone knobs and a classic five-position blade switch. Neck is made of maple and it is equipped with a mid '60s C contour in the back. Rosewood fingerboard has 21 vintage frets, 7.25" radius, dot inlays and 1.65" wide bone nut.
