Esquire is the guitar that started it all, it was the first all-solid Fender back in 1950. Telecaster was made from the Esquire by adding the neck pickup. Today`s Classic series Esquire is a nod to the legend, to the first solid bodied electric guitar in serial production. It comes with a solid, single cut body made of ash. Body is decorated with a plastic white pickguard on top. Bridge section features what would later be known as Tele bridge and Tray bridge. There`s only one single coil pickup in bridge position, it`s slanted and passive. It`s controlled with master volume, master tone and three-position blade switch. Maple neck is bolted to the body, equipped with C contour and topped with a 21-fret maple fingerboard.
