Eric Johnson has been playing the Stratocaster for almost the entire length of his career. He is also one of Fender`s oldest (in terms of signature series longevity) signature artists, as well. Mr. Johnson`s signature series currently has three models and Eric Johnson Stratocaster Maple is one of them. At its core, Eric Johnson Stratocaster Maple has a trio of specially voiced single-coil pickups, coupled with a standard controls unit. This combo gives the classic "Cliffs of Dover" tone, along with a wide palette of blues and rock tones. Main construction features include a solid alder body, four-bolt neck joint, and vintage hardware. Black, 2-Color Sunburst, and White Blonde color options exist. Other notable features include a quartersawn maple neck w/V profile, a 21-fret maple fingerboard, vintage tremolo bridge, and Fender tuners.
