Jim Root of Slipknot and Stone Sour is one of the most influential guitar players today. He is also known for his prowess on the fingerboard. As one of the members of the Fender Artist family of musicians, Jim Root has been given both Telecaster and Stratocaster models with his own name. Stratocaster comes with a solid, double cut body made of mahogany. It is paired with a bolt-on maple neck with regular, modern C contour. Bridge is a hardtail with black paint, string-through construction and six adjustable saddles. Pickups are made by EMG and installed in H/H configuration. They are controlled by master volume knob and a three-position blade switch. Fingerboard on this model is equipped with 22 frets with no inlays and 1.65 string nut.
