For summer 2013, Fender has prepared the new and fresh Rustic Ash series. Currently, the initial lineup of this series contains only two models, one Strat and one Tele. With price tags around $1,800, these two ash-made six-stringers belong with the American side of the catalog. 22-fret fingerboards and other top notch appointments secure the American status for the FSR Rustic Ash series. For the first time in history, Fender models come with anodized aluminum pickguards painted in brown. There are two color options offered for each model and Telecaster comes with Butterscotch Blonde and Sonic Blue. Both color schemes feature satin lacquer finish and chrome-plated hardware. Body of this gorgeous Tele is solid, single-cut and made of ash. On it`s flat top, there`s the modern Tele bridge with six adjustable saddles and string-through-body construction. In the front, Fender installs a pair of Texas Tele single-coil pickups. Simple controls unit is fit with a master volume, master tone and a three-position blade switch. C-shaped maple neck is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard. Maple and rosewood fingerboards are available. Dot inlays, 1.685" synthetic bone nut and 9.5" radius complete the fingerboard.
