Fender Standard series is a part of the Standard range, along with American Standard. The models featured in these two series, particularly in regular Standard series, offer high quality features with reasonable pricing policy. Standard series is vast and offers numerous options, especially for Strats and Teles. For 2013, Fender Guitars have reinforced the series with several models, of which, Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top is one. This model has a flamed maple top, a feature usually saved only for the upscale models. However, Standard Stratocaster HSS Plus Top comes with a modern double-cut body made of alder base and maple top. It is flat on top and contoured in the back. Also, it features the standard white plastic pickguard on the top. Bridge section is a standard one, featuring the classic Fender tremolo bridge with chrome plating. Standard series humbucker and two standard single-coils comprise the pickups combo. Standard controls unit is also featured on this model. Neck is bolted to the body and made of maple. It features C contour in the back and a 22-fret fingerboard on top. Tobacco Sunburst color scheme comes with a rosewood fingerboard, while the Aged Cherry Burst sports the maple fingerboard. Tuners on the headstock are made by Fender.
