Standard Series of electric guitars and basses offers the intermediate option for all players who`d like to reinforce their arsenal with a Fender axe. 21-fret guitars and 20-fret basses make up this series roster. Strats and Telecasters, however, dominate the lineup of this series, as they are the strongest pair of models in the entire catalog. For 2013, Fender has prepared new Standard series Stratocaster models. Some of them were introduced at NAMM show, while the ones with flame maple tops were saved for Frankfurt Musikmesse. Three models with flame maple tops were introduced in Frankfurt. Standard Stratocaster Plus Top with Locking Tremolo has a standard strat body made of alder back and flame maple top. Top is flat, while the back is contoured. Bridge section is a non-standard one for Fender`s Strats, it features the original Floyd Rose double-locking tremolo. In it`s front, a standard set of bridge humbucker and two additional single coil pickups is installed. Standard controls unit accompanies them. Bolt-on maple neck has modern C contour in the back and a 21-fret fingerboard on the top. Depending on the color option, This Strat features either a rosewood, or maple fingerboard.
