Idolmaker is a brand new series in the Framus catalog and it`s being introduced on this year`s NAMM Show. This series is inspired by the classic Firebird design and Gibson`s traditional construction. of course, Framus adds some of their very own specific touches and gives the Idolmaker six-stringers a unique personality. Idolmaker Five R is one of two models in the initial Idolmaker lineup. More models are expected throughout the year. Five R is a solid and double-cut guitar made of alder base and flamed maple top. The carved body of the Five R is paired with the set in maple neck with the series standard contour in the back. On the top, one-piece wrap around bridge replaces the standard tune-o-matic/stoptail combo. Pickups are supplied by Nordstrand. Full-sized humbucker in the bridge and two smaller humbuckers in the middle and neck positions comprise the pickups combo. Simple controls unit is made up of master volume, master tone and the five-position blade switch. Pickups can be split into single-coils with the push-pull switches mounted on the volume and tone pots. Fingerboard is made of rosewood and it features 22 jumbo-sized frets with abalone inlays.
