Panthera 6 and 7 are remarkable axes coming from the Framus catalog, but Panthera 8 is something completely different. This super deep and super low-register beast growls with an unheard-of strength. Low end is completely tight and lacks the mud eight stringers are prone to in low register. This eight stringer is being introduced just in time for the 2013 winter NAMM show. It is produced in Germany and it is now a standard part of the Panthera series. It comes with a solid, single-cut body reminiscent of the legendary Les Paul from Gibson. It is made entirely of mahogany, along with the carved top. This eight-string axe is concentrated on the performance, though the looks are not being neglected. It features discreet elegance styling and relies on super strong and precise tone. On top, Framus installs a fixed bridge with eight saddles and string-through-body construction. Active Seymour Duncan humbuckers in the front feature master tone, master volume and a three-position blade switch. Both volume and tone pots feature push/pull switches for coil splitting. Maple neck is reinforced with rosewood stripes and it features set in joint. 24 extra jumbo frets are decorated with dot inlays. Sperzel tuners and 27" scale complete the specs list.
