Early Les Paul models are only gaining in popularity as the years pass by, 1954 LP is no exception. Gibson Custom is making a reissue of this legendary model and it`s being faithfully replicated down to even tiniest detail. Body of this gorgeous VOS guitar is made of mahogany back and plain maple top. Mahogany back is chambered and maple top is carved. It is also bound in creme and finished in high gloss. On it`s top Gibson installs a tune-o-matic bridge with a stoptail bar in the back. Both are plated in chrome. P-90 pickups are installed on this one, for humbuckers were not used 'till the late 1950s. Mahogany is also used for the neck, which is fit with '50s contour. On it`s top Gibson Custom installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
