1954 Les Paul Custom is one of the most successful and popular LP incarnations even almost sixty years after it`s introduction. Gibson Custom makes it just the way it was made in 1954. Body is made of mahogany back and plain maple top. This single cut body features creme binding, gloss finish and black plastic pickguard. Ebony is the only color scheme available for this model, just the way Mr Les Paul intended. Bridge section is equipped with a tune-o-matic bridge and Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. Both are plated in gold. Back in 1954 Les Paul models came with P-90 single coils, and so does this model. Standard controls unit with three-way toggle pickup switch is also featured. Set mahogany neck is equipped with '50s contour and topped with 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
