Back in the day, back before the humbuckers, Gibson installed fat single coil pickups in their Les Paul models. These bad boys were and are still known as P-90s. This Goldtop VOS is fit with a pair of P-90 single coils with plastic white casings. Gibson`s standard split volume and tone knobs setup is accompanied by a three-way toggle pickup switch. VOS emblem is an insurance of period correct appointments and materials, and accordingly body of this model is made of solid mahogany back and plain maple top. This Goldie features creme binding, elevated plastic pickguard and high gloss finish. Neck is made of mahogany and it sports `50s contour in the back. 22-fret fingerboard is made of ebony, it`s equipped with trapezoid inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" corian nut.
