Pair of active humbuckers, great contour and most amazing tone are what sets the 1959 LP apart from the competition. That and the fact that Gibson Custom still makes it, tell that this is no ordinary LP. Single cut body is made of mahogany base and flamed maple top. Top is carved and equipped with creme binding, gloss finish and white plastic pickguard. Tune-o-matic bridge with it`s stoptail bar makes sure tuning and intonation are in perfect order. Burstbucker pickups on this model feature a standard controls unit with a three-way toggle pickup switch. Mahogany neck has '50s contour and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
