Gibson Custom 1958 Korina Flying V
Flying V Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom
Flying V Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom
In 1957 Gibson introduced the Flying V, Explorer and the Moderne, which went into the production a year later. At first, these models seemed as failures, due to the low sales figures. Flying V took off in the late 1960s and is still one of the most popular guitar shapes ever. 1958 Korina Flying V is a tribute to the original 1958 model, which became hugely popular over time. This one comes with a classic Flying V body made of korina wood. There`s no binding, nor top wood cover. Bridge section is made up of a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction. 496R is in the neck position with 500T in the bridge. Set korina neck is a one-piece and it sports the '50s contour. 22-fret fingerboard is made of rosewood.
