1958 Korina Flying V is Epiphone`s variant made for players with thinner wallets. This model does not feature korina wood in it`s construction, instead it`s made of mahogany and painted to resemble the korina wood. Nevertheless, this body gives magnificent tone, considering the price class. Top panel is covered with a classic Flying V pickguard and it`s finished in gloss. The rest of the body and neck is also finished in gloss. Bridge section on this model has a gold-plated tune-o-matic bridge and strings run through the body behind it. Pickups are Epiphone`s own Alnico Classics. They give a decent tone and a lot of sustain. Neck on this model is also made of mahogany and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
