The cult Flying V axe has almost six decades of rich and turbulent history under the belt. With almost unchanged design and construction, it continues to be one of the most desirable and most "rock`n`roll" guitars out there. Flying V Custom is Gibson Custom`s latest rendition of the classic V concept. Steeped deep into the tradition, and tricked out with some unique features and appointments, this marvelous axe guarantees unparalleled V experience. Two variants exist, Ebony and Faded Cherry, both costing $5,399. Main features include a one-piece mahogany body (w/7-ply black/white binding and black pickguard), one-piece mahogany neck with mortise & tenon joint (body and neck connected with hide glue), one-piece rosewood fingerboard, custom-wound AlNiCo III pickups, Tune-o-Matic bridge (string-through construction) and Grover tuners.
