The current edition of Gibson Custom`s catalog is based exclusively on Limited Run models, with no permanent series or even models. This results in a very unstable lineup, in which the models are constantly being introduced and taken down. SG Custom is one of over forty currently available Limited Run models. The price is set at $2,999, which makes this Custom the most affordable Gibson Custom axe. It offers the marriage of classic SG construction and Les Paul Custom aesthetics. As it is customary with Custom models, this SG is available only in Ebony with gold-plated hardware. Main construction features include a solid and beveled mahogany body, solid mahogany neck (1-piece neck, slim C profile), 22-fret richlite fingerboard, 2-piece hardtail bridge, 498T/490R pickups, and Grover tuners.
