SG was introduced in the early 1960s as a replacement and a double-cut variant of the already well established single-cut Les Paul. SG quickly rose to fame with the emerging hard rock and heavy metal scene and began living it`s own life, separate from the LP series. Soon, Standard, Custom, Junior and others were introduced, with the model presented in this article being a recreation of the Custom model. It comes with a solid and flat body made of mahogany. There is no top wood cover, nor there is binding around the edges. Bridge section features tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar in the back. Three '57 Classic humbuckers are installed in the front. Mahogany neck is set and equipped with a regular '60s contour. It`s topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
