Back in 1950s some of the most famous and popular sunburst finishes were introduced into the Les Paul line, contrasting Fender`s solid colors palette. But, one particular solid color scheme gained so much fans and popularity that it eventually became a model on it`s own. It is the legendary Goldtop. 1957 Les Paul Goldtop VOS comes with period correct Goldtop color scheme with dark back and sides and nitrocellulose finish. Body of this beautiful six-stringer is made of mahogany back and plain maple top. Top is carved and bound in Gibson`s favorite creme binding. Neck is made of mahogany, as well and it features the fat `50s contour in the back. On it`s top, a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard is featured. Pair of Burstbuckers is installed on this model.
