Throughout his career, he used various Gibsons, mostly modified ES-355 models and multiple incarnations of his "Lucille" guitar. In the pickups compartment, Lucille features the classic Gibson 490R and 490T (R stands for the rhythm position, while the T stands for the treble). Standard controls unit (vol/vol/tone/tone/three-way toggle switch) is accompanied by a 6-position Varitone switch and stereo output. Neck is made of three pieces of maple, and features the standard mortise & tenon joint. On its top, a black richlite fingerboard with 22 frets is installed. It comes with ful block inlays, creme binding around the edges and 1.68" wide corian nut. Gold-plated Grover Tulip tuners are found on the headstock. Along with them, the gold-plated truss rod cover with B.B. King graving and "Lucille" inlay above it, are also found. 2015 Lucille will set you back for $4,199.
