Explorer was introduced back in the late 1950s along with Flying V and was initially considered a failure, until revived some twenty years later. Ahead of it`s time, ahead of competition, Explorer rose to become one of iconic metal guitars. Commemorative 50th Anniversary Explorer Brimstone is a luxurious guitar made to celebrate Explorer`s longevity. It comes with a classic Explorer-shaped body made of mahogany back and flame maple top. Brimstone is the only color option and it`s finished in high gloss. There is no characteristic pickguard on top of the body. Hardware is plated in gold. Bridge section consists of a tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar. Classic '57 humbuckers are installed in the front. Set mahogany neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard with 22 frets.
