Melody Maker models have long been a part of the Gibson catalog. They represent the budget-friendly level and usually feature only the basic specs lists. Such is the case with this Explorer Melody Maker. This basic Explorer comes with a solid, single cut body made of mahogany. It is flat on top and equipped with a set in neck joint. Stripped down design of this model includes only a black pickguard on top of the body. Satin Blue, Satin White and Satin Ebony are color options available for this model. Traditional bridge section on this guitar features only a wrap around bridge. 491T humbucker is installed in the bridge position. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the standard contour in the back. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard is featured on it`s top.
