Firebird was launched back in 1963 as a more rounded and less extreme variant of the 1950s Explorer model. Firebird almost immediately became a classic and it is still in production, full five decades after it`s introduction. Over the course of the years, Firebird models have been available in all sorts of different variants and luxury levels. Firebird Studio is one of the standard Firebird models and it basically has the same function in this series as LP Studio has in Les Paul series. Solid single-cut body is made of mahogany and it`s paired with a mahogany neck. 490R active humbucker is featured in the neck position and 498T in the bridge. These two have gold-plated covers. Rosewood fingerboard on this model has 22 medium jumbo frets with dot inlays.
