SG Supreme 2016 Limited is what happens when a rock monster gets a high-end treatment in Gibson USA salon. If anyone doubted before, this marvelous twin-horned six-string is the living proof that SG can be a beauty, as well as a beast. There are two available options, Cherry and Ocean Blue. Both are finished in gloss lacquer and both have chrome-plated hardware. Very small quantities are available, each guitar costs $2,499. SG Supreme 2016 Limited has a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany back and AAA grade flamed maple top. Top is carved and features no binding around the edges. Pickguard is also out of the picture, as AAA flame top looks mesmerizing in both red and blue. Slim and fast mahogany neck is glued to the body and features a 24-fret composite fingerboard on top (split diamond inlays, 1.695" Tektoid nut and 12" radius). Lead and rhythm pickup positions are occupied by Lead Pro and Rhythm Pro humbuckers, respectively (Gibson, yes, active, of course). Pickups are equipped with chrome-plated covers and rings and are controlled through a reduced controls unit - one volume, one tone and a three-way toggle switch. Two-piece bridge unit and locking Grover tuners complete the hardware section of the most awesome SG in 2016 Gibosn USA lineup.
