Gretsch Guitars G5700/5715 Lap Steel

ElectroMatic Collection Electric Guitars by Gretsch Guitars
G5700 and G5715 Lap Steel models are the only lap steel guitars in the current Electromatic Collection`s lineup. They`re identical, save for the color scheme they come in. G5700 rocks the vintage Tobacco color scheme while the G5715 flaunts the chic Black Sparkle theme. Other than that, these two super affordable (both cost $499) lap steel six-shooters are one and the same guitar.
G5700/5715 has a solid mahogany body and neck. Unlike the standard electrics and acoustics, G5700/5715 has no neck joint, as the body and neck are merged into one homogenous unit. Both variants are equipped with a 28-fret fingerboard made of plastic.
A lone single-coil pickup is positioned right in front of a covered fixed bridge and has a basic controls unit (master volume, master tone). Vintage-styled tuners complete the specs list.
