Artstar series is one of many hollow/semi-hollow guitar series found within Ibanez`s Hollow Bodies range. The series houses both classic jazz boxes, as well as modern rockers based on the vintage design. Dual Super 58 pickups are the series` standard armament. AS153B comes in as a thinline and double-cut axe, outfitted with contoured top and back, glued-in neck, and 24.7" scale. Black (w/gloss finish, multi-ply binding, and gold-plated hardware) is the only available color option. Key construction components include a maple body (back, sides and top), mahogany/maple neck (3-piece neck, AS profile), and bound ebony fingerboard (22 medium frets, split abalone block inlays, 1.69" nut). Super 58 pickups, two-piece hardtail bridge, and Grover tuners complete the specs list.
