FR series deals with single-cut guitars based on the modernized Telecaster design. Ibanez has introduced several models into this relatively new series, but none of them have achieved the popularity and status of the FR320. Thus, the Ibanez lineup for the 2014 NAMM Show exhibit is featuring the updated variant of this magnificent six-stringer. It comes with a solid and single-cut body made of mahogany. It is bound around the top and features the classic bolt-on neck joint. There is no top wood cover on the top. Ibanez sells this model in two color options simply named Black and White. Both are finished in gloss and both feature chrome hardware. On the top, there is a Tight End bridge with string-through construction and six saddles. CCR humbuckers are installed in the front. They can be manipulated through a simple controls unit which consists of one volume knob, one tone knob and a five-position blade switch. Maple neck is a classic three-piece known from the RG and S series, meaning it has a 1.69" width at the nut, 15.75" radius and Wizard contour in the back. On the top, Ibanez installs a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
