KOMRAD20RS reports for duty in the signature series made for Korn`s Brian "Head" Welch. In it`s essence it is the same guitar as the previously released KOMRAD20 model (NAMM 2014 Limited Edition model), sporting only a different color option. In fact, not that different, basically it is still black, but with red-colored splatter pattern, instead of a white one found on the original KOMRAD20. Nonetheless, RS model is being featured at 2015 NAMM as a new model. The base, the chassis on which this heavy metal monster truck rides comprises of a solid, double-cut RGD body made of basswood and a standard bolt-on maple neck made of three pieces of wood. Stripped down to the bone, KOMRAD prpones the no filler - all killer philosophy. Simple string-through body bridge with chrome plating and seven saddles is featured on the top. Pair of DiMarzio PAF 7 humbuckers is controlled through a simple controls unit (master volume, master tone, three-way toggle switch). Maple neck is fit with a standard RG profile (second generation of the Wizard contour) and topped with a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Seven in-line tuning machines wrap up the specs list.

So I bought this guitar thinking I was getting something badass that was "famous musician level" in quality. I've had it for about 3 weeks now, I sorta regret buying it. It is made in Indonesia. The fret wire is horrible... This guitar is brand new and I'm getting green shit off it already.... Also, it's not very clear when distorted, and the setup it had when I received it was not satisfactory. I still have loads of buzzing... The cleans are remarkably good. Better than I expected... But thats not what anyone buying this wants... Pros: it's heavy... It's a seven string... It looks awesome. It's Korn inspired. Tuners seem ok. Cons: FRET WIRE, pickups, no whammy bar... Ever... No hole for one or anything. I sorta expected a signed headstock or SOME mention of head AND/OR Korn... But none of that either.
